The nursery

Our work – our life.

Some may see it as an advantage, others a disadvantage, but for us our workplace is where we live.

To get to the nursery, follow the « chemin des iris » which separates the fields of iris and stock plants from the reception area and the nursery where we keep the  container-grown plants.

Parking next to the garage with the tractor, you head for the large dry-stone barn used for cleaning plants and preparing orders.  You ring the bell … no-one around?

You go round to the large poly tunnel and look inside … still no-one ?

You go all the way through to the end of the tunnel and come out opposite two smaller tunnels.  Be curious,  have a look at the stock plants of salvia.  You’re at the entrance to the second smaller tunnel, the one with our propagating frame and the only one that’s heated in the winter, we keep it just frost-free as it houses our collection of American salvia not all of which are hardy … and there’s still no-one ?

Where are we ?  Out in the iris fields – making the most of the spring flowers.

In fact we are in the fields of iris
using the blossoming of the spring.
